A Home for a Hero

Several weeks ago in Portland I preached a homily about Brendan Marracco, an Army veteran from Staten Island who lost all four limbs in combat in Iraq. There is word today that ground has been broken on a new home for Brendan, specially equipped to ease his transition to independent living. All the best to the contractors and donors who are making this possible and especially to Brendan and his family.
